I’m Amy, nice to meet you!
Arizona Desert Doodles’ mission is to bring community together through these wonderful furry friends. Amy Johnson began breeding when two of her five girls were diagnosed with cancer. The dogs became therapy, drawing people to her home, a welcomed distraction from all the chemo and radiation treatments. It’s been an amazing opportunity to bond her family together. Eight years later, the girls are all grown and remain involved with the breeding business.
Amy continues to enjoy inviting people into her home to help socialize the puppies while making friends and connecting others. The relationships bring her much joy. To see people come together who otherwise may have never met, along with the support they provide each other and the happiness the pups bring to each family is the biggest reward in this job. We pride ourselves in providing a once in a lifetime 8 week interactive and educational puppy experience that you won’t find anywhere else.

My favorite litter size…
Amy has been working as a pediatric and NICU nurse for the past 30 years. When her own kids were struck with illness, Amy turned to breeding as a form of therapy for her family. As a lifelong animal lover, it became a perfect fit for the entire family. Since the beginning she has enjoyed raising and socializing puppies in her home. Even more than the happiness the puppies have brought her family, the gratification of seeing the joy her puppies have brought to others has been rewarding, a blessing beyond measure. Amy is excited to continue to grow and expand her business while building new friendships.

PRICING:
$1000 for 3 artificial inseminations. We inseminate on day 11, 13 and 15 of the Dam’s heat cycle
$750 for 3 natural ties over the course of one week during the Dams peak fertility.
CAVAPOOS:
This King Charles Spaniel and Poodle mix is well-known for their kind, affectionate, sensitive and easy going temperament. They are sociable and loving to all those around them - which makes them bad guard dogs, they are truly happy to see EVERYONE. But they are considered excellent therapy dogs because of their remarkable personalities.
BERNEDOODLES:
Clever, goofy, gentle and loyal. This mixed breed has the best of both worlds from its Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle parents. With their friendly temperament and fierce loyalty, Bernedoodles make the perfect family dog, ready for any adventure.
SHEEPADOODLES:
Since the Sheepadoodle is part Old English Sheepdog, they have a herding instinct which makes them very playful, especially with children. They are affectionate, even-tempered and very cuddly, but still need to burn off their energy. With the Poodle mix these dogs tend to be quite intelligent.
